Merit Award

Senator Dr. Olarenwaju Tejuoso is a medical practitioner and was Chairman, Senate Committee on Health in the 8th Senate of the federal republic of Nigeria. He is also at the forefront of many health improvement campaigns including that for adequate funding of the nutrition budget to ensure we reverse the very high malnourishment indices of our infants and children. His efforts in Nigeria were recognised by various international partners including the World Bank, UNICEF, Bill and Melinda Gates foundation to mention a few. He also championed the implementation of the National Health Act 2014 ensuring that a minimum of 1% of the consolidated revenue fund of the federal republic of Nigeria is included in the health budget of the country.
He is married to Princess Mojisola Tejuoso and blessed with children
