Prof. Rotimi Jaiyesimi has made remarkable contributions to obstetrics and gynecology, earning recognition as a trailblazer in medicine. A graduate of the University of Ibadan Medical School in 1978, he began his career with a passion for advancing patient care. In 1993, he became one of the first Nigerian consultants in obstetrics and gynecology in the UK, a milestone that inspired African professionals to pursue careers on a global stage.

With a focus on complex gynecological conditions, including endometriosis, menopause, and pelvic pain, Prof. Jaiyesimi combines his medical expertise with a compassionate approach to care. His work in psychosexual therapy has further enriched his practice, providing a holistic perspective that addresses the physical and emotional aspects of health.

Prof. Jaiyesimi’s commitment to education has shaped the careers of many healthcare professionals. Through his roles as a lecturer in medical law at the University of Ibadan and the Nigerian Law School, he has bridged the gap between medicine and legal practice, fostering a deeper understanding of healthcare ethics.
